The Rockford Chamber of Commerce Manufacturers Council Educational Outreach Committee is sponsoring a Student Summit for the 2008 International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS), held at McCormick Place on September 9th.

We are partnering with the local School Districts to send 200 to 300 students to this show. Local Manufacturers are traveling with the students as Industrial Mentors to answer questions about processes and careers in manufacturing. IMTS provides a program called the Student Summit, which provides for a friendly environment for the students. This initiative is an important opportunity to help students learn about the exciting world of careers in manufacturing.

Sponsoring area students to attend this year's IMTS Student Summit ensures that Rockford's young leaders of tomorrow will have the opportunity to be exposed to careers in manufacturing, and provides the Rockford manufacturing community with the bright thinkers necessary to continue to be competitive in a global economy. Without your support this experience would not be possible.

Please consider sponsoring five students for $150, ten students for $300, or an entire bus for $1,100, so that as many students as possible can attend IMTS on September 9 at McCormick Place, in Chicago Illinois.
