Join other small businesses for a half-day conference including a keynote breakfast and breakout sessions that will provide small businesses with tools, strategies and ideas on how to sustain and even grow during 2009.

The breakfast will feature an informative and inspirational speech from Marc Schulman, president of The Eli's Cheesecake Company, on how his organization grew from a small business in Chicago to the country's largest specialty cheesecake bakery. Local industry experts will lead a variety of breakout sessions that are specifically focused on addressing the issues and challenges facing small businesses.

Opening Keynote Breakfast - 7:45-9:00 a.m.
Marc SchulmanMarc S. Schulman, president of The Eli's Cheesecake Company, will kick off the conference by providing insight on how he has led his company to become the country's largest specialty cheesecake bakery. Through economic ups and downs, Schulman has developed a company that now produces more than 20,000 cheesecakes per day.

You'll be inspired by stories of how Eli's has become a leader in Chicago's hospitality and culinary industries, championed improvements in public education, and supported Illinois' cultural community all while strengthening the Eli's brand and bottom line.
